Who we are
Suggested text: Our website address is: https://www.sejdaa.net.
Comments
Suggested text: When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
Suggested text: If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Cookies
Suggested text: If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select "Remember Me", your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Suggested text: Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Who we share your data with
Suggested text: If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
How long we retain your data
Suggested text: If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
Suggested text: If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where your data is sent
Suggested text: Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

These sections add to our Privacy Policy. They cover advertising, the legal bases we rely on, your rights under the GDPR and the CCPA/CPRA, international transfers, children’s privacy, retention, and how to reach us. They should be read as part of the main policy, not instead of it.
Advertising and Google AdSense
Sejdaa is free to use. It is funded by advertising, and our main advertising partner is Google AdSense, publisher ID pub-8928122502589555.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor’s prior visits to this website and to other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet. Those cookies are set by Google and its partners, not by us. We do not read them, and we do not receive the personal data inside them.
You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google at https://adssettings.google.com. To opt out of interest-based advertising from many participating vendors at once, use https://www.aboutads.info/choices/. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, consent is collected through our consent banner before any advertising cookie is set, and you can change that choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” button.
Ads on Sejdaa are served by Google and its partners. Ad units are kept separate from tool content and tool output. Advertisers do not see your files and cannot influence what a tool produces. Because every tool runs in your browser, your files are not available to us or to any advertiser in the first place.
What the site does not do
Some of this is unusual for a website, so it is worth stating clearly.
- No accounts. There is no sign-up, no login, no profile and no password. We do not hold a user database because there are no users to store.
- No selling of personal data. We do not sell personal information, and we do not rent, trade or barter it.
- No sharing of your files with advertisers. Your files reach our server only for the 44 office conversions, which delete the upload the moment they finish. They are opened, processed and returned inside your browser, so there is nothing for us to share.
- No advertising cookies before consent. Advertising and analytics storage default to denied under Google Consent Mode v2. Nothing changes that until you make a choice.
- No analytics service. None is currently installed. We do not run Google Analytics or an equivalent product.
- No comments, forums, profiles or user-uploaded content of any kind.
Legal bases under the GDPR
Where the General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on the following legal bases.
- Consent (Article 6(1)(a)) for advertising cookies and any analytics cookies. Consent is collected through the consent banner, is specific to each category, and can be withdrawn at any time through the “Cookie settings” button. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.
- Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) for keeping the site secure and available. That covers fraud prevention, blocking bots and abusive traffic, rate limiting, and maintaining basic server logs through our infrastructure and CDN provider. We keep this data to the minimum needed to run the site safely, and we balance our interest against your rights.
We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects for you.
Your rights under the CCPA/CPRA
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, used, shared or disclosed, and to request a copy of it. You have the right to delete personal information we hold, the right to correct inaccurate personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. You also have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights. We do not offer different prices or a lower quality of service to visitors who exercise them.
We do not sell personal information as that term is commonly understood, and we have not done so in the past twelve months. Some advertising activity, where cookies are used to show you ads based on your activity across other sites, may count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising under the CPRA. You can stop that at any time.
The “Cookie settings” button on this site is our “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” control. Click it, leave advertising switched off, and save. We also honour the Global Privacy Control signal where the law requires it. To exercise your rights of access, deletion or correction, email [email protected]. We may ask a few questions to confirm we are dealing with the right person, since we hold almost no information about visitors.
International data transfers
Sejdaa’s tools process your files on your own device, so no transfer of file content takes place. Advertising is a different matter. Google and its partners are global companies, and they may process data in the United States and in other countries outside your own.
Where personal data protected by the GDPR is transferred outside the EEA or the UK, the transfer relies on safeguards recognised by law. These include the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, the UK Extension to it, and Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. Google publishes the details of the safeguards it uses in its own privacy documentation, and we encourage you to read them if the topic matters to you.
Children’s privacy
Sejdaa is a general-audience toolkit for people working with documents and images. It is not directed at children under 13, or under 16 where a higher age applies locally. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because there are no accounts and no uploads, the site has almost nothing to collect in the first place.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
Data retention
We keep data for as short a time as the purpose allows.
- Your files: retained only for the seconds a server-side conversion takes, then deleted. There is no file store, and the 44 office conversions delete the upload the moment they finish while the other 282 tools never upload at all for the 282 browser-based tools for the 282 browser-based tools and no backup containing your documents, because the 44 office conversions delete the upload the moment they finish.
- Server logs: kept briefly for security and troubleshooting, typically 30 days, then deleted. These logs cover technical request data such as IP address, browser type, requested page and timestamp. They are used to block abuse and to diagnose faults, not to build profiles.
- Consent records: the record of your cookie choice is held in your own browser under the localStorage key
z11_consent_v1. It stays there until you change your choice or clear your browser data.
- Emails you send us: kept only as long as needed to answer you and to keep a record of the request, then deleted.
Your rights and how to exercise them
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to certain processing, to receive a portable copy, and to withdraw consent for cookie-based advertising at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. Tell us what you want and which right you are using. We respond within 30 days. If a request is complex we will tell you why and give you a new date. There is no charge for a reasonable request.
You also have the right to complain to your local data protection supervisory authority. We would rather hear from you first, so we can fix the problem directly, but the right to complain exists either way.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our tools, our advertising arrangements or the law change. If a change affects how advertising cookies are used, we will update this page and the Cookie Policy, and the date at the top of each page will show the current version.
